Well, this is a little scary. I have a sudden loss of appetite in one of my friends’ dogs. The vet has prescribed Zyban to help with weight loss but it’s been working fine. I am also on Zyban for anxiety. It has been working for me and is no longer a problem. Can anyone share any info about the side effects? Also, is the treatment right for me?
I am very sorry. I just had a bad experience with the dogs that came with the medication. I have had a few dogs with no appetite, then the vet has prescribed Zyban and it is working for them, but it’s not working for me. I’m a bit worried about how it will be in the future, but I know it’s not the same for everyone and I’m not sure if it’s going to work for me. I will be back to my normal life soon and will need to see the vet right away.
I am also on Zyban for anxiety and can’t help but feel it is not going to be useful for me. My friend recently took the medication and was told to stop taking it because of the weight gain but the vet said it’s not helping. I’m wondering if I should be taking this medication and if there are other drugs that may help? I have read that people are not going to start taking the Zyban because it’s a medication that may be causing weight gain and that can help. Do you think it will work for me? I have been on other medications that have helped with weight loss but have not taken Zyban and not sure if it’s the same as weight loss. I’m not sure if it will help but I am going to take it for anxiety and see what happens.
Thanks in advance. I will get back to you. I know I did not give the medication the correct dosage but I feel like I should. If you have questions, feel free to ask. I’m sure the vet is going to be great.

Hi everyone! I am a very overweight woman with a hard time getting a full head of hair. I have been on some bupropion and bupropion is not as effective as Zyban. I was wondering if this medication could help. It may be helpful if I had the proper dose but not for weight loss.
I feel it is not the same for everyone and I am not sure if it’s a good thing for everyone to take, but I think it’s important to start at the lowest possible dose and not stop the medication too quickly. I know you are concerned about weight gain but I am not sure if it is just a matter of taking too much, or if it is the same as other drugs that may not work for everyone. I also need to discuss my medical history with my doctor, but I am unsure if this medication is the best choice. If you have any questions or if anything else, feel free to ask. I’m glad you are all here.

Thanks for the advice. I really feel like I need to take this medication and not stop it. My dog has gained about 1lbs when she was a teenager, I think it’s good for her. It is not helping me with anxiety. I’m also a bit worried about the side effects.

I agree with the others above. The Zyban may be a little better in the short term but it’s not the same for everyone. I feel like I need to take it because it has not worked for me so far. I feel like I am being cautious and have to try and make sure I have the right dose of the drug to help.
I’m hoping to start the treatment with my doctor to see if it works. I’m also concerned about side effects and trying to adjust my dosage.
I’m a bit concerned about the weight gain and anxiety. It’s just something that can be a bit confusing for me. I’m a bit worried about the side effects, but it seems like a good thing to start with and see how it goes.

Hello, My dog has gained a lot of weight during her treatment with bupropion. The weight loss was not great, but she did lose some weight.
I also have the concern that the drug could cause weight gain and also weight loss for some people with the drug.
